Chapman Faculty Solidarity: June 2025

Solidarity will hold a No Kings rally June 14^th from 1-3pm,, in front of Chapman University's Memorial Hall, near the corner of Glassell and Palm in Orange, CA.
All are welcome!

Chapman Solidarity, the Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, and the departments of English, Peace & Justice Studies, and Sociology will sponsor a two-day conference with the working title, “Rhymes, Echoes, & Contrasts: 1930s Germany & the US Today.” The tentative dates are February 20-21, 2026. Watch this space for details concerning sessions and invited speakers.

Solidarity Mission

Chapman University faculty created Solidarity to explore how we might act collectively to address the Trump administration’s assault on truth, on democracy, on the environment, on education, on the rule of law, on our health, on our civil rights, and on our shared moral and ethical values. We believe that, as university faculty, we are called upon to resist that assault. To that end, Solidarity will share insights, events, and proposed actions by our professional organizations. We will organize forums open to students, staff, and administrators. We will work together with the faculty of other colleges and universities to find ways to protect the rights of immigrants and refugees, to protect our environment, and to uphold academic freedom, the rule of law, and our shared moral and ethical values.
